Moriah utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and play therapy to provide quality therapeutic services to clients of all ages. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, PTSD, and working with military personnel and families. She has experience working with service members, as well as their family members, and works to reduce the stigma associated with seeking treatment.

Additionally, Moriah has always loved working with and rescuing animals. She understands that incorporating animals in session often helps many clients meet their therapeutic goals while reducing mental health symptoms.

Harley Grace Farm & Counseling Center combines evidence based mental health treatment with a non-traditional setting. Through activities with horses led by a licensed clinician, you will be able to actually practice new skills necessary to meet your goals. Individual, group, family, and couples equine psychotherapy is available.

HGF Vision

Beginning therapy can feel scary, but the relaxed atmosphere on the farm and equine therapy programs available help to make that easier. For children & teens, the animals tend to make therapy more enjoyable which can lead to greater outcomes. For those who don't want to go to a doctor's office, the farm is a perfect fit.

  • If you, anyone in your family or anyone you have come into contact with is: awaiting COVID test results, has tested positive for COVID or experienced ANY symptoms associated with COVID, the flu, strep, or any other illness, within the last 72 hours, the session MUST take place via telemedicine.
  • Office therapy sessions are limited to individual and couple sessions; everyone in the office must wear a face covering that covers both the nose and mouth.
  • Social distancing will be utilized during sessions taking place outdoors; masks are required when social distancing is not an option.
  • Temperature checks will be performed before each session.
  • Hand sanitizer is available.

Welcome

How it Works

Activities with the horses are always designed to meet the individual needs and goals of the client. For example, a child recovering from sexual abuse may need additional assertiveness skills; activities with the horses will be designed so this client can practice being assertive. Often times, detailed instructions are not provided for activities in order to safely & gently challenge a client to move beyond their comfort zone; the process of identifying resources & problem solving can build self confidence & encourage the use of coping skills.

Some clients also enjoy helping to care for the farm & animals while participating in sessions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques.  Please note that therapy services never involve riding and riding is not a service covered by insurance companies.
